The deceased was a member of time Lutheran church. On the evening of the 9th inst., we administered to her the elements of the Lord's supper. She seemed exceedingly joyous and well-satisfied, and was waiting "to be absent from the body and present with the Lord, to drink anew the wine in the kingdom of God." She is gone. Trustingly and confidingly, I believe, she has gone into the presence of her all-wise Father. No longer is she toiling painfully along the pathway of life, upward and upward to the City of our God; No longer here, she is there; She has entered within the precincts of the fadeless and pure; gazing, seeing, knowing, loving as the sanctified and pure only see, and know, and love. Earth has one spirit less, and heaven one more. Already kneeling at the throne, she has received her welcome, and is resting on the bosom of her Savior. "With heavenly weapons she has fought The battles of her Lord, Finished her course, and kept the faith, And gained the great reward."
