  SALER
  
    Bruce H. Saler, 81, of Indianapolis, Ind., died May 17, 1997, at
  St. Vincent Hospice, Indianapolis.  Born March 22, 1916, in
  Somerset.  Preceded in death by wife, Rosie (Schrock) Saler, and
  brother, Harold Saler.  Survived by wife, Ruth (Anderson) Saler,
  Indianapolis; daughters:  Nancy Stone of Chewelah, Wash., and Barbara
  Brennan of Aurora, Colo.; stepdaughter, Jo I. Surrette, Alexandria,
  Va.; stepsons:  Gene A. Irick of Champaign, Ill., and David P. Irick
  of Highland, Md.; brothers:  Carl R. Saler of Somerset and Merle K.
  Saler of Campbell, N.Y.; sisters:  Ferne E. Saler, Lillian S. Lloyd,
  Helen B. Walker and Marjorie Schlosnagle, all of Somerset; three
  grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, and one
  step-great-grandson.  Mr. Saler was with American United Life
  Insurance Co. for 13 years.  He retired in 1982 as director of the
  AUL Agencies.  He was also a certified life underwriter.  He was a
  World War II Army veteran and member of Elks Lodge and Kennington
  American Legion Post in Indianapolis.  There will be no services. 
  Burial will be held in Somerset at a later date.  Memorial
  contributions may be made to St. Vincent Hospice, P.O. Box 40970,
  Indianapolis, IN 46209-4040.  Leppert and Hurt Mortuary,
  Indianapolis, is handling the arrangements.

  SALER
  
    A memorial service for Bruce H. Saler, who died May 17, 1997, in
  Indianapolis, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 24, at Somerset
  County Memorial Park.  Relatives and friends are welcome to attend. 
  All are welcome also to gather for lunch at the Kings Family
  Restaurant following the service.
