(Chisholm) Salkeld, aged 56, wife of R. W. E. Salkeld, of Meyersdale, passed away Monday afternoon at 3:45 o'clock in the Lee Homeopathic Hospital, Johnstown, where she had been a patient for several days, suffering from a complication of diseases. She is survived by her husband and the following children: Lela, wife of Austin Blubaugh, of Pine Hill; S. Boyd Salkeld, of Stoyestown, musical director of the Blue Devils Bugle and Drum Corps of the Johnstown American Legion; William R. Salkeld, of State Street, a member of the Johnstown drum corps; Jane, wife of Edward McClintock, of Harnedsville; Allan Salkeld, of Hollidaysburg, and Martha, wife of D. Guy Floto, of Meyersdale. She was a sister of Howard, Banner and William Chisholm, all of Hopewell, Bedford County, Pa.; Mary, wife of George Smith, and Margaret, wife of Harry Thomas, both of Saxton, Pa. Seventeen grandchildren also survive. The body was removed to the Blubaugh home at Pine Hill. Funeral services were conducted this (Thursday) afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Pine Hill Lutheran Church, Rev. George A. Fallon, pastor of the First M. E. Church of Meyersdale, officiating. Interment in the Pine Hill cemetery. Mrs. Salkeld was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church, and of the American Legion Auxiliary of Charles E. Kelly Post, of Meyersdale, two of her sons, Boyd and William, being World War veterans. Meyersdale Republican, October 23, 1930
