  Maryam Mehraban Samii, 90, of Tehran, Iran, died Dec. 10, 2002 at the
  home of son Dr. Ali M. Samii of Westmont, Johnstown.  Born March 21,
  1912, in Rasht, Iran, daughter of Ismail Rahmat Samii and Ezat Nassa
  Samii.  Preceded in death by parents, husband Abdollah Mahraban
  Samii; two sisters and two brothers.  Survived by these children: 
  Dr. Akbar M., married to Sally Jarvis, Claysburg, Dr. Ali M., married
  to Jean Kaap, Westmont, and Fereshteh, widow of Mohammed Hossein
  Kashani-Sabet, New York, N.Y.; six grandchildren and eight
  great-grandchildren.  Maryam was a Muslim by faith and a citizen of
  Iran who visited her family in the United States on more than a dozen
  occasions since 1960.  A private gathering will be held Wednesday
  afternoon at Hoffman Funeral Home, Rt. 403 and Church Road,
  Davidsville, followed by interment in the St. James Cemetery.  In
  lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Heart
  Association 400 Luray Ave. Johnstown, Pa. 15904.
