  MRS. JOHN R. SANDERS
  
    Mrs. Ava V. Sanders, 78, of 400 Hill Street, Cumberland, Md., died
  April 15, 1975, in Lions Manor Nursing Home, where she had been a
  patient two weeks.
    She was born in Oakland, Md., a daughter of the late W. George and
  Virginia (Buncitter) Sanders.  Her husband, John Roy Sanders, died in
  1942.
    Mrs. Sanders was a member of the Church of Christ.
    Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Roberta Thompson, Cumberland; two
  sons, Carroll Sanders, Chase, Md.; and Donald R. Sanders, Cumberland;
  ten grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Mrs.
  Georgia Hardesty, Salisbury; Mrs. Jessie Folk, Mrs. Nellie Chaney and
  Mrs. Wilma Iames, both of Cumberland; and a brother, Paul Sanders of
  Baltimore.
    Funeral service was conducted Friday afternoon in Knight Funeral
  Home, Cumberland, with Rev. Ronald Stullenbarger officiating. 
  Interment in Hillcrest Burial Park, Cumberland.
