Sanders, 81, Confluence, died June 20, 1986, in Henry Clay Villa, Markleysburg. Born March 17, 1905, in Columbus, Ky., he was a son of the late Harry A. and Florence (Morrison) Sanders. Survived by his wife, Dorothy Porter Sanders; a son, Harry G., Whitehall; two stepdaughters: Louise Comer, Canton, Mich., and Kathryn Obman, Allison Park; one granddaughter; three step-granddaughters and one step-grandson. He was a 50-year member of St. John's Lodge No. 219 F.&A.M., Pittsburgh; Caravan No. 9 of Syria Temple, Uniontown; and the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Pittsburgh Consistory. He was the chief engineer of Jones and Laughlin Steel Company for 50 years and a member of the United Methodist Church of Confluence. Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, where services will be held Monday at 1 p.m., Dr. Arthur Gotjen officiating. Interment, Addison Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church, Confluence. A Masonic service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
