A. Sanders and a long-time resident of Confluence, died Jan. 20, 1997, in the Presbyterian Medical Center, Washington, Pa. Mrs. Sanders was active in community affairs, having served as president of three different organizations: The Women's Club of Confluence, United Methodist Women and Three Rivers Senior Citizens. She is survived by two daughters, Louise Comer of Michigan and Kathy Obman of Allison Park, Pa.; four grandchildren: Rebecca Zellhard, Lara Florea, William Comer and Bethany Obman; three great-grandchildren; three sisters: Ruth Dodds, Olive Jumet and Jane Marshall, and two brothers, John and Robert Porter. Arrangements are being handled by the Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Home, 420 Locust Ave., Washington. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at noon on Jan. 23, 1997, with Rev. Dr. J. Paul Cameron officiating.
