He was born October 10, 1869, at Frostburg, Md., son of the late Ross R. and Alice C. Sanner. He married Susan Humbert, August 26, 1889, daughter of the late Adam R. and Maria Humbert. Surviving are his wife and the following children: Mrs. Dasey Currence of Akron, Ohio; Ray, of Cleveland, Ohio; Laura, at home; Mrs. Henry L. Phillips of Pittsburgh, and Charles of Cleveland, Ohio, now in the U.S. Army, stationed at Camp Croft, South Carolina; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Maude Thompson of New York City; Norman of St. Petersburg, Florida; Mrs. Ethel Selby of San Francisco, Cal., and Walter of Cumberland, Md. Mr. Sanner was station master of the B & O Railroad at the Water Street Station, Pittsburgh, for 20 years. Upon his retirement 8 1/2 years ago, he moved back to Confluence to make his home, where he resided till his death. Funeral services were held at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, conducted by Rev. Webb of the Confluence Methodist Church. Interment in Addison Cemetery, Wednesday, March 29th.
