Sanner, 80, of Rockwood RD 2, died Dec. 22, 1985, at his home. He was born Oct. 5, 1905, in Casselman, a son of the late Rev. Jacob W. and Sara (Pritts) Sanner. He is survived by his wife, Verna (Foster) Sanner, of Rockwood RD 2; one son, James R., also of Rockwood RD 2; two daughters: Mrs. Wayne (Annabelle) McCormick, Rockwood RD 3; Mrs. Patricia Rose, Somerset RD 4; two brothers: George, Robinson; and Mahlon, Ligonier; one sister, Mrs. Dora Gerhard, Rockwood; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. His death terminates a marriage union of 60 years. He was preceded in death by a son, Oscar Jr. in 1957; two brothers: David and Lester; and two sisters: Mary Stahl and Lois Kuhns. He was a employee of Edgewater Steel Co. of Oakmont, for 38 years. Also a member of the Oakmont Elks, and a member of the Middlecreek Church of the Brethren. Friends were received in the William J. Wood Funeral Home, Rockwood, where services were conducted at 1 p.m. with his pastor, the Rev. Greg Gohn officiating. Interment, Rockwood I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of the William J. Wood Funeral Home, Rockwood, with Francis Brady supervising. The Republic, December 26, 1985 [S0120]
