(Sam) Sanner, 81, of Meyersdale, died May 13, 1999, in Rest Assured Living Center. He was born April 5, 1918, in Rockwood, a son of the late Harry M. and Grace (Bockes) Sanner. He is survived by his widow, Charlotte L. (Barnhart) Sanner; 2 daughters, Terrie, wife of Paul Werner Jr., and Sandy, wife of John Baer, both of Meyersdale; 4 grandchildren, Charlotte and Evet Werner, and Shayne and Sharad Baer; and a sister Helen Hoover of Rockwood. He was a member of Meyersdale United Methodist Church. He retired from Penn Tables Co. He worked in a saw mill and was an auctioneer for 35 years having owned Sanner's Auction Barn. He worked at Somerset Co. Fair on the advertising and premium book committee. He enjoyed deer hunting and had killed more than 100 deer. He was a veteran of WWII. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at Leckemby Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. with Pastor Craig Lyman officiating.
