(Robert) Sapalio, 52, New Florence RD 1, formerly of Gray, died June 9, 1978, in West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born May 3, 1926, in Gray. Son of the late Peter G. and Mary (Gawarty) Sapalio. Preceded in death by parents and two brothers; Joseph and Chester. Survived by his wife Betty (Chronowski) Sapalio and these children: Mary Jane, wife of Thomas Sellers, Indiana RD 4; Jeanne, wife of David Slick, New Florence RD 1; Bob of New Florence; and one grandson, Dirk Sellers. Brother of Pete, Wellsburg, W.Va.; John, Garfield, N.J.; Mrs. Josephine Sierocky, Gray; Ann, wife of Alex Gac, Hafbrock N.J.; and Helen, wife of Tony Prosinski, Endicott, N.Y.. Member of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Ligonier. Served in U.S. Navy and was a veteran of World War II. Member of Seward Post VFW. Employed as manager of Rachelwood Wild Life Research Preserve, New Florence RD 1. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. Saturday in Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where wake service will be conducted Saturday at 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Monday 10 a.m. at St. John's Roman Catholic Church, Acosta, by Rev.
