    Irene Saponsky, 78, White Star Residence, Jennerstown, formerly of
  Stoystown, died Dec. 11, 1995, at Somerset Hospital.  Born Nov. 23,
  1917, in Hooversville, daughter of Daniel and Anna Katherine (Rhoads)
  Peterman.  Preceded in death by parents; first husband, Howard
  Peterman Sr.; second husband, Joseph J. Saponsky; grandson, Richard
  Ling Jr., and 3 sisters.  Survived by these children:  Mrs. Richard
  (Dolley) Ling, Stoystown; Mrs. Edward (Shirley) Keister, York, and
  Howard Peterman Jr., Red Lion; 6 grandchildren and 9
  great-grandchildren.  Sister of Daniel Peterman, Lockport, N.Y.;
  Robert Peterman, Stoystown RD 3, and Carrie Williams, North
  Tonawanda, N.Y.  Retired from Somerset State Hospital.  Member of St.
  Peter's Catholic Church, Somerset.  Family will receive friends from 7
  to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Deaner
  Funeral Home, Stoystown, where wake service will be held at 8:45 p.m.
  Wednesday.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday
  at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Somerset, Msgr. Samuel J.
  Tomaselli.  Interment, Odd Fellows Cemetery, Stoystown.
