Sarver Sr., 75, of Rockwood RD 2, went to be with the Lord March 3, 1990. Born July 8, 1914, in Allegheny Township, a son of the late Artie Nelson and Georgia Matilda (Felton) Sarver. Also preceded in death by his wife, Lydia Grace Morrison; granddaughter, Pamela Zorn; sister, Daisy, and brother, Merle. Survived by these children: James W., married to the former Patricia Deeter, Somerset RD 8; Mrs. Harry E. (Wilma) Foust, Berlin RD 4; Mrs. Genevieve Zorn, Somerset RD 5; Mrs. Stanley (Violet L.) Hoover, Berlin RD 4; Edison L. Jr., married to the former Ruth Ann Shaffer, Stoystown RD 1, and Mrs. Roy W. (Judy) Spangler, Rockwood RD 2. Sixteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Brother of Mrs. Verna Miglets of Youngstown, Ohio; Victor and Mrs. Hazel Morrison, both of Farmington; Mrs. Ruth Devanney of Ohiopyle; Artie N. Jr. of Confluence, and Howard of Markleysburg. A long-time and close friend of Nancy C. Gastley of Somerset. Former employee of B Quality Coal Co. and the Somerset Foundry. Active member of the Somerset Alliance Church for 44 years, serving in many positions. Also a member of the UMWA. Friends were received from 7-9 p.m. Sunday and will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Somerset Alliance Church, with Rev. Melvin E. Vance officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. The body will lie in state at the church from noon until the time of the service. Contributions may be made to the Somerset "In Touch" Hospice, South Center Avenue Somerset, Pa.
