Born Jan. 21, 1918 in Lincoln Township, son of Daniel H. and Goldie Gertrude (Moore) Sarver. Preceded in death by parents, brothers, John, Floyd, Telford, Elwood and Carl Sarver, and sisters, Elizabeth Dietrick and infant sister. Survived by wife, the former Iris Evelyn Miller, to whom he was married 34 years; son, Clifford Sarver, married to the former, Ruby Dodson, School House Rd., Somerset; grandchildren, Donald Sarver and Mrs. Connie S. Pingley; and great-grandson Matthew Sarver. Brother of Daniel S. Sarver, Somerset RD; Harrison Sarver, Kent, Ohio; Mrs. Floyd (Audrey) Thomas, Quecreek; Mrs. James (Delores) McConnell, Friedens; Mrs. Arthur (Shirley) Brougher Jr. Somerset; and Lloyd Sarver, Jennerstown. Member of Sipesville Church of the Brethren where he had been a deacon and Sunday School superintendent [sic]. U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Member of Lodge #358 F&AM; Jaffa Shrine; Heavy Equipment operator for Fetterolff Coal Coal [sic] Co. and Svonavec Coal Co. Worked for New Enterprise Stone & Lime Co. for 16 years and was a Lincoln Twp. Supervisor for 12 years. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Monday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home where services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Danny R. Bailey officiating.
