Sarver Sr., 79, New Buena Vista, Manns Choice RD 1, died April 13, 1995, at his home. Born April 23, 1915, in Allegheny Township, Somerset County. Son of the late Samuel and Nora (Housel) Sarver. Preceded in death by infant son, Samuel; daughter, Carol Ann Sarver; brother, Herbert Sarver and two sisters, Margaret Fisher and Mary Miller. Survived by wife, Mary R. (Wolfhope) Sarver, and these children: Mary Jean, wife of Leyn Lohr, Schellsburg RD 1; Dorothy Frazier, Manns Choice RD 1; Lawrence Sarver Jr., Manns Choice RD 1; Margaret Liberty, Somerset, and Joseph Sarver, Visor, Texas; also grandson, Joey Frazier, Manns Choice RD 1, reared by Mr. and Mrs. Sarver. Brother of John Sarver, Morrisville, N.C., and Leora Beegle, Schellsburg RD 1; 17 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Married May 9, 1938, at Cumberland, Md. He was a retired farmer and lumberman. Member of St. Mark's United Church of Christ at New Buena Vista. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg, where service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, the Rev. David Wiley officiating.
