Sarver, 90, of Somerset, formerly of Berlin, died May 24, 2000, at Patriot Manor. Born April 11, 1910, in Allegheny Township, son of Harry and Maggie (Glessner) Sarver. Preceded in death by parents; his wife, the former Nellie (Deist) McDonald; sons, Ralph McDonald, Ronald Eugene and Lawrence Dale Sarver; sister, Mabel Shafer; and brother, Theodore. Survived by these children: Clifford McDonald, married to former Bertie Pierce of Westminster, Colo.; Doris Glotfelty of Berlin; Shirley, married to Lynn Lowery of Willow Street; Janice Zipfel of Woodbridge, Va.; and Thomas Sarver, married to former Judith Lowery of Lancaster; daughters-in-law, Mary Sarver of Berlin and Shirley McDonald of Denver, Colo.; 20 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; also a sister, Melda Sarver of Baltimore, Md. Retired truck driver. Member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Roxbury. Former member of Berlin Borough Council and Berlin V.F.D. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Rev. Ralph G. Landis officiating.
