Sarver, 69, of Berlin RD 3, died Oct. 11, 1981, at Memorial Hospital of Bedford County. He was born Oct. 6, 1912, in Garrett, son of the late Harvey and Martha (Ringler) Sarver. He was preceded in death by parents; his first wife, Virginia Fochman; two brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his second wife, the former Florence Holler; these children: Robert, Lambertville; John, Berlin; Alfred, Mann's Choice R 1; Philip, Danville, Ind.; Mary Ann and Mrs. Martha Yocum, both of Berlin RD 3; and Daryl, at home; these step-children: Mrs. Jerry (Pauline) Long, Mentor, Ohio; Mrs. Richard (Ruth) Close, Hyndman; Mrs. Gerald (Violet) Thomas, Hyndman RD 1; Eugene Chaney, Charleston, W.Va.; William Chaney, Green Spring, W.Va.; and Mrs. Darlene Emerick, LaVale, Md.; seven grandchildren; 23 step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren. He was a brother of James, Berlin. He was a member of Sarver Community Church and Paradise Sportsmen's Club. He was a retired farmer and miner. Friends were received at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, Berlin, where services were held with the Rev. Leonard Day officiating. Interment, St. John's Cemetery, New Baltimore.
