Savage, 70, of Connellsville RD 2, died Aug. 4, 1995, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born May 3, 1925, at Champion, a daughter of the late Clyde and Anna Henry DeWitt. Formerly employed at Seven Springs Resort in the housekeeping department. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sons, Ronald and Playford Savage, and a brother, Roy DeWitt. Survived by her husband, John W. Savage; six sons: Glenn of Normalville, Wade of Connellsville RD 2, Dennis of Champion, Playford of Connellsville RD 2, Kenneth of Normalville and Barry of Normalville; eight daughters: Bonnie Laws of Connellsville, Mrs. Raymond (Darlene) Smith of Connellsville, Mrs. Philip (Ida) Nicholson of Normalville, Mrs. Robert (Donna) Basinger of South Connellsville, Mrs. John (Debra) Basinger of Connellsville, Mrs. Charles (Kathy) Nicholson of Normalville, Mrs. Bryan (Brenda) Stahl of Connellsville and Mrs. Ralph (Sandra) Cardella of Acme; 30 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; four brothers: James DeWitt of Mount Pleasant, Walter DeWitt of Connellsville, Robert DeWitt, both of Somerset. Friends were received Sunday evening at the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home Inc., Route 711, Melcroft, and will be received from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday. Additional viewing Tuesday from noon until 1 p.m., the hour of funeral services in the Mt. Nebo Church of God, with the Rev. Evelyn Stillwagon officiating. Interment, Mt. Nebo Cemetery.
