  ALVA B. SAYLER
  
    Alva B. Sayler, 72, of Monroeville, formerly of Somerset, died Jan.
  3 in Monroeville.
    He was born June 9, 1904, in Meyersdale, a son of the late John P.
  and Cora Alice (Peck) Sayler.
    He was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Matilda
  Himmler, also by two brothers.
    He is survived by his wife, the former Hazel M. Fox and two
  children, John, of Berlin RD 4 and Alice Ann, of Bloomfield, N.J.;
  four grandchildren and two sisters, Miss Pauline Sayler of
  Cumberland, Md. and Mrs. Victor Witt of Meyersdale.
    He was a retired school teacher from the Somerset Area Schools and
  taught in the Meyersdale area many years.
    Funeral services were conducted January 7 at Richard E. Hauger
  Funeral Home with Rev. James S. Leake officiating.  Interment,
  Somerset County Memorial Park.
