  John L. Salyers Jr., 63, Paradise, Calif., formerly of Somerset, died
  Nov. 27, 2004, in California.  Born July 23, 1941, in Mount Pleasant,
  son of the late John L. Sr. and Thelma (Flynn) Salyers.  Also preceded
  in death by step-mother Marie (Brant) Salyers.  Survived by wife Luce;
  sisters Lois Scotchel, Palm Beach, Fla., and Judy Krupper, Berlin;
  and brothers James, Tacoma, Wash., Richard, Stoystown RD, and Jeff,
  Jacksonville, Fla.  Member of the first undefeated Somerset High
  School football team in 1957.  A retired All-State Insurance agent.
  Funeral arrangements were held in California. Donations may be given
  to the Somerset High School Football Boosters.
