"Decker" Saylor, 84, of Meyersdale, died April 26, 1988, in Meyersdale Community Hospital. Born May 1, 1903, in Meyersdale, a son of the late Harvey and Alice (Pyle) Saylor. Survived by his wife of 61 years, the former Lynnetta Morgan; and two daughters: Mary Ann, wife of Stanley B. Thomas of Salisbury; and Sally Sue Frederick of Bellefonte; five grandsons; two granddaughters; five great-grandchildren. Also survived by a sister, Marian Bracken, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. He was a life-long member of Amity United Church of Christ, where he served as a deacon. Graduated from Meyersdale High School in 1921. He was a member of the Meyersdale Volunteer Fire Co. for more than 50 years. Life member of the Meyersdale Moose. He served on the Meyersdale Borough Council, Meyersdale Water Authority, board of trustees of Meyersdale Community Hospital. He had been employed by Baer & Co. for more than 35 years. He was a maintenance engineer for 17 years at Meyersdale Community Hospital. Friends will be received Wednesday 7-9, Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Leckemby Funeral Home, where service will be Friday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Carl Mitchell. Interment, Union Cemetery.
