Saylor, 74, of Vine St., Berlin, died Oct. 23, 1978 in Somerset Community Hospital. Born Jan. 9, 1904 in Piedmont, W.Va., the daughter of the late Charles and Margaret (Young) Hoffa. Preceded in death by her husband, James R. in 1966; two brothers and one sister. Survived by these children: Donald Y., Vienna, Va.; Mrs. Vincent L. (Margaret Gene) Marcum. of Fairfax, Va.; Charles R., Baltimore Md.; and James R. Jr., Kensington, Md.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A sister of Charles Hoffa, Baltimore, Md;.; Mrs. Lucy Glime, Clearwater, Fla.; Mrs. John B. (Marion) Young, Bedford, Va.; and Mrs. Margaret Beacham, Greenville. Member of the Trinity United Church of Christ, Berlin, and a past member of the Eastern Star and the DAR. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, Berlin, where services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Charles W. Sigler officiating.
