Saylor Sr., 75, of Rear 328 Main St., Boswell, died Feb. 1, 1976 at home. Born March 27, 1900 in Meyersdale, a son of Jacob A. and Nancy E. Weimer Saylor. Preceded in death by parents; his first wife, the former Eva Grasser, who died in 1943; a son John A.; two sisters; three brothers; and a granddaughter Ellen Manges. Survived by his widow, the former Rita O'Brien and these children: Maurice Thomas of Boswell; Nancy, wife of Clyde Manges of Jerome; Jacob of Nanty Glo; Earl Fred Jr. of Central City; Anna, wife of Lester Blough of Anaheim, Cal.; Clara Grace, wife of Ronald Pyle of Somerset; James of Boswell RD 2; Raymond of Boswell; and Eva Mae, wife of Robert Felix of Hollsopple RD 2; 34 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was a brother of Mrs. Florence Welshonsce of State College and Mrs. Grace Jackson of Bellwood. Was a retired miner and a member of the UMWA. Friends received after 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Joseph G. Hoffman Funeral Home, 409 Main St., Boswell, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. George A. Clark officiating. Interment, O'Connor Cemetery, Jenner Township.
