    Elbert L. "Obb" Saylor, 65, of Berlin, died Aug. 23, 1994, at home
  from complications of Lou Gehrig's Disease.  Born Sept. 18, 1928, in
  Berlin, son of S. Cleveland and Rachel J. (Paul) Saylor.  Preceded in
  death by parents; brother, R. Paul, and sisters, Dorothy Zerfoss and
  Velma Saylor.  Survived by his wife of 45 years, the former Elsie
  Clapper; and these children:  John P. of Alexandria, Va.; Donna Lee,
  married to David Mallett of Lapeer, Mich.; David L., married to
  former Kathleen Kennedy of Kentwood, Mich.; Michael R., married to
  former Kimberly Brown of Berlin RD 3, and Rachel A., married to David
  Shank of Philadelphia; 13 grandchildren and a great-grandson.  Brother
  of Stewart W. of Somerset, Donald E. of Michigan, A. Gene of Fairfax,
  Va.; Lois Wolfersberger of Winchester, Va.; Dwight F. of Sterling,
  Va., and Phyllis S. Claypool of Fort Meyers, Fla.  Member of Holy
  Trinity Lutheran Church, Berlin, and Meyersdale Lodge 554, F. and
  A.M.  Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
  Thursday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where service will be held
  at 2 p.m. Friday, Rev. Robert Hoffman officiating.  Interment, Berlin
  IOOF Cemetery.  Family requests, in lieu of flowers, contributions be
  given to Somerset "In Touch" Hospice.
