    H. Fred Saylor, 81, Somerset, passed on Aug. 25, 2006, at Somerset Hospital. Born Jan.
  1, 1925, in Geistown, Cambria County, he is the son of Helen (Taylor) Saylor of Somerset
  and the late Haldor Saylor. He is preceded in death by his father, great-grandson Daniel
  Scott Jr, and brother Roger Saylor. He is survived by his mother, wife of 60 years Sara
  (Griffith) Saylor, daughters Judy, married to John Green, Berlin and Susan, married to
  Ronald Schrock, Somerset, son Scott Saylor, married to Vicki (Rascona), Somerset, grand-
  children Jeffrey, Jenifer, Jessica, Ashley, Katje, Ryan, and Alex, and great-grand-
  children Alexis, Peyton, Johnathan, and Jackson. He was the long time president of the
  Saylor Motor Co. in Somerset. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy in World War II. He was a
  member of Lodge 358 of the F&AM in Somerset and was also a member of the Somerset County
  Shrine Club. He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Somerset. He enjoyed
  spending time with his friends at 5 Springs Lodge Hunting Cabin in Johnsburg. He also
  enjoyed NASCAR racing and dirt track sprint car races in the area. There will be no
  visitation at Mr. Saylor's request. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at
  Somerset County Memorial Park. Rev. Raymond Lyon and Rev. Dr. Ruth Ann Campagna officiat-
  ing. Military rites accorded by the Somerset County Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers,
  memorial contributions may be sent to the Calvary United Methodist Church at 239 W.
  Church St., Somerset, PA 15501. Arrangements by Miller Funeral Home, Somerset.
