Saylor, 78, of Fairmont, W.Va., died Aug. 15, 1999, at Fairmont General Hospital. Born in Somerset on Jan. 21, 1921, the son of the late Roy S. and Mary L. (Emert) Saylor. Member of the Grace Lutheran Church of Fairmont, W.Va. Army Veteran of World War II and a life member of the VFW Post 629, life member of the Military Order of the Cooties and a life member of the American Legion Post 17 of Fairmont. He was a Council Commissioner of the Boy Scouts of America Mountaineer Area Council with over 50 years service. Recipient of the Silver Beaver Award. Retired from Consolidation Coal Co.'s Loveridge Mine with 45 years of service, where he served as an accounting clerk. He retired in 1983. Survived by a sister, Mary Pat Moore of Morgantown, W.Va.; three nieces: Mrs. Steve "Linda K." Williams of Bridgeport, W.Va.; Mrs. John "Mary Ellen" Moore-Hale of Lakeland, Fla., and Mrs. Paul "Mary Sandra" Behrs, Sterling, Va. Also six great-nieces and nephews, Jason J. Behrs of Raleigh, N.C.; Jennifer Behrs of Sterling, Va., and Rachel, Rebecca and Michael Williams, all of Bridgeport, W.Va., and Jonel Hale of Lakeland, Fla. Preceded in death by one sister, Elizabeth Anne Breen, and one niece, Barbara Ann Breen. Friends may call at the Ford Funeral Home R.C. Jones Funeral Home, 1410 Country Club Road, Fairmont, W.Va., from 7 until 9 p.m. today and from 1 until 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. in the funeral home, with Rev. Gary McGrew officiating. Graveside services will follow at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Union Cemetery, Somerset, Pa.
