  Joseph M. "Joe" Saylor, 74, Berlin, died Sept. 29, 2004, at Memorial
  Medical Center, Johnstown.  Born Nov. 4, 1929, in Berlin, he is the
  son of G. Harold and Marian (Miller) Saylor.  Preceded in death by his
  parents; and sons, Thomas Allen and Robert James Saylor.  Survived by
  his wife of 57 years, the former Doris Landis; son, Dan, married to
  the former Darleene Meyers, Mount Joy; daughters, Nancy, married to
  Robert Spochart, Berlin, and Joni, married to Doug Thomas, Somerset;
  grandchildren: Criste Derr, Elisha Williams, Joe Saylor, Robert Sipe
  and Jessica Stuart; stepgrandchildren, Sheri Miller and Steven and
  Mark Spochart; 16 great-grandchildren and a sister, Joyce Kurtz,
  Altamonte Springs, Fla.  He was a retired brick and stone mason for
  Union Local 9, Monroeville.  He was a member of St. Francis
  In-The-Fields Episcopal Church, Somerset, and the Berlin Sportsman
  Association.  Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday
  and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin.
  Funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Monday at St. Francis
  In-The-Fields Episcopal Church, Somerset.  The Rev. Mark Zimmerman and
  the Rev. Ralph G. Landis officiating.  Interment, Berlin I.O.O.F.
  Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis
  In-The-Fields Episcopal Church, 2081 Husband Road, Somerset, Pa.
