She was born in Berlin, Pa., June 8, 1873, the daughter of Samuel A. and Sarah Miller, and the eldest of eight children. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, one brother, Jacob; two sisters, Anna B. Fitton and Eva Bates. Surviving are three brothers, H. C. Miller of Mankato, Minn.; M. G. Miller of Los Angeles, Calif.; and Samuel Miller of Hastings, Nebr., and one sister, Sadie N. Becke of Glendale, Calif. She was married to Wilson D. Saylor of Meyersdale in 1894 at the home of her parents near Carleton, Nebr., returning with her husband to Meyersdale where they resided until the death of Mr. Saylor in 1939. Then she went to Carleton where she made her home caring for her aged mother until the latter's death last February. At an early age she united with the Brethren Church of which she remained a member until her death. Funeral services were conducted at the Brethren Church in Carleton, January 19, with the Rev. H. M. Oberholtzer in charge. Burial was made in the Carleton cemetery in the family lot of her parents. Meyersdale Republican, January 27, 1949
