Paul "Pete" Saylor, 72, of Berlin, died March 26, 1993, at Somerset Hospital. He was born Aug. 8, 1920, in Berlin, son of Cleveland and Rachael (Paul) Saylor. Preceded in death by parents; sisters, Dorothy Zarefoss, Velma and Ada Mae. Survived by his wife of 32 years, the former V. Rose Logue; stepchildren, Shelvie Ryan of Somerset; and Roland Fogle of Berlin; brothers, Stewart of Friedens; Donald "Sniff" of Michigan; Elbert L. "Obb" of Berlin; Gene and Franklin D. "Spike," both of Virginia; sisters, Phyllis Claypool of Florida and Lois Wolfersberger of Virginia. Former employee of A.W. Francis and Green Garden of Somerset for 29 years. He was a proprietor of East End Antiques, Berlin. Member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Berlin. A borough council member, former mayor of Berlin and former manager of the Boy Scout Antique Flea Market. Family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday. Rev. Melvin A. Kirk Jr. officiating.
