Saylor, 79, of Rockwood RD 2, died Feb. 9, 1978, in the Somerset Community Hospital. Born Oct. 8, 1889, in Milford Township, he was a son of the late Mahlon and Martha Ann (Will) Saylor. He was preceded in death by a son, a brother, and a sister. He is survived by his wife, the former Ella Ream, three children, Warren R. of Rockwood RD 2; Mrs. Alonzo (Lorraine) Belsar, of Somerset RD 4; Mrs. Clark (Martha) Weyand, of Rockwood RD 1; six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Merle K. Glessner, of Phoenix, Ariz. He was a life-time resident and farmer of Milford Township; a school teacher in Milford Township School District for five years; 12 years a Milford Township Supervisor; 18 years a Milford Township School Director; and a member of the First Christian Church in Somerset. Funeral services were held Sunday at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Weber and the Rev. Herbert Schimpf officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
