Saylor, 58 of Lorain, Ohio died March 4, 2003 at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness, Fla. following an extended illness. Born Sept. 19, 1944 in Somerset and had been a resident of Lorain since 1952. For the past three years he had also maintained a winter residence in Inverness. Preceded in death by his father, Harry Saylor and brother, Robert. Survived by his wife of 25 years, Maria (nee Inchaurregui); children: Ronald Haas of Amherst, Ohio, David Haas of Lorain, Ohio, Michael Saylor of Birmingham, Ala., Sherrie Bishop of Grafton and Tracy Hernandez of Lorain; nine grandchildren; mother, Ethel (nee Huffman) Saylor of Somerset; brother, Clifford Saylor of Confluence and sisters: Donna Lazeur of Lorain and Carol Friedman of Boswell. He was employed as a High Voltage Electrician for American Steel and Wire Company in Cuyahoga Heights, Ohio, retiring in 2000. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Lorain. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the funeral chapel and will be followed by funeral mass at 11 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1305 East Erie Avenue, Lorain, with the Rev. Joseph West, O.F.M. Conv., pastor of St. Anthony officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain where military honors will be conducted by officers and members of the American Legion Post 30 of Lorain. The family suggests memorials in his memory be made to the Fr. Mario Ross Memorial Fund in care of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1305 East Erie Avenue, Lorain, Ohio 44052.
