Saylor, 90, Somerset, formerly of Meyersdale, died March 15, 1996, at Patriot Manor, Somerset. Born Aug. 17, 1905, in Meyersdale. A son of the late Samuel and Fannie (Marteeney) Saylor. Also preceded in death by his first wife, the former Helen Gnagey; his second wife, the former Violet Poorbaugh Cook; sister, Ada Schrock; brother, Homer Saylor, and granddaughter, Bonnie Lou Yutzy. Survived by daughter, Dorothy, wife of Darrell Yutzy, Somerset RD 5; grandson Ronald Yutzy, married to Sherry Saylor, Somerset RD 6, and great-grandson, Christopher A. Yutzy and his fiancCe Tami Johnson, Somerset. A lifelong member of the Meyersdale Church of the Brethren, where he served as deacon. A farmer by trade, he also worked for J. Bruce Phillips and Penn Tables before retirement. Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, with Pastor Mike Swick officiating. Interment, Union Cemetery, Meyersdale. Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Meyersdale Church of the Brethren. Daily American, March 18, 1996 [S0332]
