Born Oct. 30, 1921, in Berlin, a son of Stewart Cleveland and Rachel Jane (Paul) Saylor. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Paul and Elbert Saylor; sisters, Dorothy Zarefoss, Ada Saylor, Phyllis Claypool and Velma Saylor. Survived by wife, the former Dorothy Eileen Schmucker, to whom he was married 62 years; children, Stewart R. Saylor, Friedens; Chris F. Saylor, married to the former Gail Foust, Dunn, N.C.; Mrs. Reon (Sheron) Engleka, Berlin; grandchildren, Dorothy and Debra Saylor, Dean Beattie, Genifer McKee, Benjamin Saylor and wife, Elizabeth, Mrs. Paul (Michelle) Trulick, Sean Engleka and wife, Cathy; great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Stewart, Aaron and Rebecca Trulick, Shelby Engleka, Mackenzie, Connor and Lydia McKee. Also, brothers and sister, Donald Saylor and wife, Helen, Washington Township, Mich.; Mrs. William (Lois) Wolfersberger, Hanover; Gene Saylor and wife, Faye, Chantilly, Va.; Dwight Saylor and wife, Janet, Sterling, Va.; and sister-in-law, Rose Saylor, Berlin. A 1940 graduate of Berlin Brothersvalley High School, U.S. Marine Corp veteran of World War II serving in the Pacific Theatre. He was a owner/operator of the former Saylor Tire Service until his retirement. Also a member of Last Man's Club in Berlin, Lodge 358 F&AM, a member of the Shriner's for more than 50 years. Past member of the Somerset Flag Committee, VFW 7295, American Legion Post 181 and attended the Somerset Church of the Brethren. Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where a service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Mark S. Bendes officiating. Interment Blough Mennonite Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital c/o Jaffa Temple, P.O.
