He moved to Morrill, Kansas in the spring of 1882. He died on Friday September 29th of typhoid fever and pneumonia, and was about 66 years of age. For a number of years he had charge of what is now the Jacob Peck farm. He was a son of Abraham Saylor, who at one time owned both the Wilmoth and Peck farms. Urias Saylor was married to Mary Susan a daughter of William Beachley of this place. The widow, one son and two daughters mourn the death of husband and father. Mr. Saylor had seven brothers, Joseph of Waterloo, Iowa; Christian (deceased) of Phoenix, Arizona; Elias and Daniel of Morrell, Kansas; Albert of Seattle, Washington; and Dr. Norman of Philadelphia; also three sisters, Katy and Susan (deceased) and Mary of Morrell, Kansas married to John H. Miller. Besides these there are many relatives and friends that will mourn and sympathize with the widow and children. Mr. Saylor by honesty, industry and frugality as a farmer and cattle dealer accumulated considerable property and leaves his family in comfortable circumstances. Mrs. Saylor was at one time a compositor on the Dale City Record of this place, which afterwards became the Meyersdale Commercial and she has many friends in this community. She is a niece of Dr. and Mrs. McKinley of 203 Salisbury Street. Meyersdale Commercial, Oct. 5, 1916
