  SCHAFER
  
    Irwin L. Schafer, 91, of Meyersdale RD 1, died April 29, 1996, at
  his home.  Born Aug. 13, 1904, in Rockwood, son of the late Charles
  and Lucinda (Sanner) Schafer.  Also preceded in death by his wife,
  Mary Elizabeth Schrock, in 1992; two brothers: Oscar and Melvin, and
  three sisters: Althea, Melda and Viola.  Survived by a brother,
  Webster of Meyersdale RD 1, and a number of nieces and nephews. 
  Member of Center Church, Garrett RD 1.  Friends will be received from
  2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Leckemby Funeral Home, where
  service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, with Rev. Shimer Darr. 
  Interment, Union Cemetery.
