  SCHAFER
  
    Oscar C. Schafer, 89, of Garrett RD 1 died July 24, 1995, at
  Somerset Hospital.  Born May 3, 1906, in Milford Township, a son of
  the late Charles and Lucinda (Sanner) Schafer.  Also preceded in
  death by his wife, the former Margaret Irene Decker; infant daughter,
  Joyalene; a brother, Melvin Schafer, and sisters: Althea Panik, Melda
  Paul and Viola Friedline.  Survived by these children: Carl W.
  Schafer, married to the former Ruth Krause, Garrett RD 1, and
  Geraldine L., wife of Donald Shaulis, Sarasota, Fla.; three
  grandchildren: David Schafer, Nita Johnson and Tracy Gaskin; two
  great-grandchildren: Michael and Stephen Johnson.  A brother of Irvin
  Schafer and Webster Schafer, both of Meyersdale RD 1.  A retired
  farmer and B & O Railroad track foreman with 40 years of service. 
  Member of Center Church.  Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m.
  Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Price Funeral
  Home, Meyersdale, where service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday,
  with Pastor Shimer Darr officiating.  Interment, Center Church
  Cemetery, Garrett RD 1.
