  SCHARDT
  
  Donald G. Scardt [sic], 45, of Mechanicsburg, formerly of Meyersdale,
  died Jan. 3, 1978, in Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.  Born April 23,
  1932, in Moween, Pa., the son of George and Bessie (Larue) Schardt. 
  Preceded in death by father.  Survived by wife, the former Mary Jane
  Habel; mother, Bessie Walters; and stepfather, Albert Walters of
  Dover, Pa.; and these children: Timothy, U.S. Navy; Michael, Donna,
  and Christine, all at home.  A brother of Howard of York.  Employed
  by IML Freight Lines.  A member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church,
  Mechanicsburg, he was a veteran of the Korean War and a member of the
  Teamster's Union and LOOM, No. 72.  Friends will be received from 7 to
  9 p.m. Thursday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale.  Mass of
  Christian Burial will be held Friday at 11:30 a.m. at SS. Philip and
  James Catholic Church, Meyersdale, the Rev. J. Clark George
  officiating.  Interment, Church Cemetery.
