GEORGE W. SCHARDT

  George W. Schardt, aged 35 years, formerly of Meyersdale, died in Moween at 
4:15 o'clock on January 13, 1941.
  Mr. Schardt, a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Schardt, was born in Meyersdale, March 
30, 1906.  He moved to Moween 13 years ago, where he had been employed as a 
motorman in coal mines.  He was a member of the St. Matthews Church in 
Saltsburg.  He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Schardt, his widow, 
Mrs. Bessie (LaRue) Schardt and two children, Howard and Donald, all of Moween.
  Funeral services were held this (Thursday) morning, January 16, at 9:00 a.m., 
with Father Goetz in charge.  Interment was made in the St. Philips and James 
cemetery, Meyersdale.
