  VIRGINIA L. SCHARDT
  
    Virginia L. Schardt, 62, of Ferndale, Md., formerly of Meyersdale,
  died June 15, 1993 at the University of Maryland Medical Center.
    She was born Dec. 12, 1930 in Mingo Junction, OH.  A homemaker, she
  was a member of the Arundel Chapter #80 of the Order of the Eastern
  Star; Past Worthy President of the Ladies of the Universal Council of
  Craftsmen & Engineers, the Ferndale Community Club, and the FCC Senior
  Citizens Club.
    She is survived by her husband, John W. Schardt of Ferndale; sons
  William, Martinsburg, WV and Thomas of Cecil County, MD; and sister
  Lazzette Beachley of Linthicum, MD.
    She is also survived by her mother, Myrtle L. Stuck Bender of Glen
  Burnie, MD; and five grandchildren.
    Services were held June 18 at the Kirkley-Ruddick Funeral Home, the
  Rev. Mark Chavez officiating.  Interment, Cedar Hill Cemetery.
