  SCHARTIGER
  
    Martha E. Schartiger, 75, of 539 Piney Run Road, Salisbury, died
  Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1998 at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, Md.  Born
  Feb. 2, 1922 in Ohiopyle, she was the daughter of the late Albert and
  Dessa (Bryner) Lowry.  Mrs. Schartiger was a homemaker.  Survivors
  include her husband, Walter M., two sons, David Schartiger,
  Clarksville, Tenn., Mart Schartiger, Boynton, Pa.; three daughters,
  Bernice Cauthern, Silver Springs, Fla., Karen Yommer, Meyersdale,
  Linda Bittinger, Salisbury; three brothers, Albert Lowry, Jr.,
  Farmington, Pa., Reuben Lowry, Kansas; Roger Lowry, Tucson, Ariz.;
  two sisters, Alberta Leonard, Ohiopyle, Edith Wallace, Ohiopyle; 16
  grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.  Friends will be received
  from 7-9 p.m., Wednesday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Thursday, at Newman
  Funeral Home, Salisbury.  Services will be conducted at 11 a.m.,
  Friday, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Randall Marburger
  officiating.  Interment St. Paul Cemetery.
