  SCHARTIGER
  
    Russell S. Schartiger, 73, Confluence RD 1, died Feb. 13, 1994, at
  his home.  Born Nov. 12, 1921, in Grantsville, W.Va., son of the late
  Lloyd and Holly (Nicholas) Schartiger.  Preceded in death by wife,
  Freeda (Connaly); 2 sons, Michael and Danny; grandson, Wayne, and a
  sister, Vera.  Survived by the following children: Vickie Adams,
  Virginia; Richard, Frostburg, Md.; Kenneth, Central City; Larry,
  Confluence; Wanda Slagle, Bruceton Mills, W.Va., and Rick, Addison;
  26 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, brother, Walter Schartiger,
  Salisbury, and sister, Bonnie Tucker, Sandridge, W.Va.  Friends
  received from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence,
  where service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, with Rev. Vernon Witt
  officiating.  Interment, St. Paul Cemetery, Meyersdale RD 1.
