  LEE H. SCHEFFEL
  
    Lee H. Scheffel, 85, formerly of RD 1, Grantsville, Md. died Jan.
  12, 1980 in the Lancaster Osteopathic Hospital.
    He was born in Stuttgart, Ark., and was a son of the late Anton
  Scheffel and Catherine (Nafzinger) Scheffel.  His wife, Mrs. Annie
  (Miller) Scheffel, died in 1978.
    Scheffel was a member of the Maple Glen Conservative Mennonite
  Church.
    He is survived by five sons, Clarence Scheffel, McVeytown, Pa.;
  Jonas Scheffel and Paul Scheffel, both of Somerset, Pa.; David
  Scheffel, New Providence, Pa.; John Scheffel, Adamstown; one stepson,
  Alvin Eichorn, Frostburg; one daughter, Mrs. Catherine (Joseph) King,
  Cochranville, two stepdaughters, Mrs. Sarah (Ernest) Mast,
  Grantsville, Md.; Mrs. Vera (Elvin) Beitzel, Salisbury, one brother,
  Chris Scheffel, Halsey, Ore.; 39 grandchildren and 38
  great-grandchildren.
    Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home.
    Services were conducted in Maple Glen Conservative Mennonite Church
  with the Rev. Ivan J. Maust and the Rev. Ivan J. Miller officiating. 
  Interment will be in the church cemetery.
