  SCHEIFELE
  
  The Rev. Theodore C. Scheifele, 66, Transfer, Pa. RD 1, died June 1,
  1979, in Greenville Hospital, following a heart attack at his
  residence.  Born in Reading May 28, 1913, to James and Gussie (Romig)
  Scheifele, he married Anna Pauline Glessner March 28, 1942.  Before
  retirement he was an associate professor at Thiel College, and a
  Lutheran minister.  At present he was minister for two churches of
  the United Church of Christ of Mercer County.  He was a member of:
  Free and Accepted Masons Lodge 370, Mifflinburg; Williamsport
  Consistory; New Hamburg I.O.O.F. Lodge.  Survived by wife; two
  daughters, Gretchen Little, Greenville, Pa., and Jane Ahern,
  Transfer, Pa.; two sisters, Thelma Heiberger, North Hampton, Pa., and
  Sarah Peterson, Norwalk, Calif.; four grandchildren.  Funeral services
  will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Mark's United Church of Christ,
  New Hamburg.  Private burial Berlin, Pa., on Monday.  Friends may
  view the body while it lies in state 12:30 p.m.-3 p.m. Sunday.  In
  lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations by made to the
  New Hamburg or Transfer United Church of Christ.  Money may be sent
  to Mrs. Marie Watkins, RD 1, Transfer, Pa. 16154.
