She was born Nov. 6, 1887, in Somerset County, a daughter of J. Oliver and Ellen (Poorbaugh) Deeter. Her husband, the late George Scheller, died Oct. 22, 1939. She leaves to mourn her passing these sons: Arthur and John Scheller of Berlin, and Paul, George Jr., and Herman of Baltimore, Md., also a sister, Mrs. Grace Menges of Akron, Ohio, and these brothers: Charles Deeter of Fairhope, Milton Deeter, Berlin R.D., and Samuel and Elmer Deeter of Johnstown, and seven grandchildren. Mrs. Scheller was a faithful member of the Lutheran Church, active in the Fletcher Memorial Class, and worked in the local Chapter of American Red Cross during World War II. She was a devoted mother and a generous neighbor, and will be greatly missed in the community in which she lived many years. Funeral services were held at her late home Tuesday at 2:30 p.m., with Rev. Robert S. Nagle officiating. Interment under direction of Johnson and Son funeral directors.
