Schenck Sr., 92, West Main St., Somerset, died Feb. 27, 1986, in Somerset Community Hospital. Born Nov. 24, 1893, in Somerset Borough, son of the late Charles Frederick and Minerva (Bernard) Schenck. Also preceded in death by one grandson, Jackie Lebo; six sisters and two brothers. Survived by his wife, the former Mary Catherine Winters, and the following children: Mrs. John W. (Minerva) Lebo, Somerset; Mrs. Donald R. (Devyenna S.) Younkin, Somerset; George W. Jr., Somerset; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Owner and president of the George W. Schenck Company. Veteran of World War I, graduate of Indiana Normal School (now IUP). Past board member and past president of County Trust Company, past Somerset Borough Councilman. Member of: First Christian Church, 66-year life-member Post 181 American Legion, member Lodge 358 F. and A.M., Somerset County Shrine Club, Jaffa Temple, Pittsburgh Consistory of Scottish Rite. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where services will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m., with the Rev. Gene Sellers officiating.
