Schenck, master carpenter for the Pittsburgh & Connellsville division of the B. & O. railroad company, was buried at Connellsville on Sunday, when the Rev. Champ Clark Buckner, his pastor, preached the sermon. The decedent was a native of Virginia and shortly after the disastrous fire of 1872 he went to Somerset, where he worked on the construction of a number of the best residences. Subsequently, he took employment with the railroad company and served faithfully for about thirty-five years. Mr. Schenck was married to Miss Sarah Shaffer, daughter of Samuel Shaffer deceased of Somerset. Meyersdale Commercial, Dec. 17, 1914
