For the last several years he was a merchant in The Cove. He is survived by his wife and one daughter, Grace; also by two step-children, Mrs. Harold Frazee and Merl McClintock, and the following brothers and sisters: Albert and Charles, of Accident; Richard, of Sabraton, W.Va.; Andrew, of Johnstown, and Mrs. Catherine Sweitzer, of Parnassus, Pa. Funeral services were conducted in the German Lutheran Church in The Cove, Sunday, December 28th, of which the deceased was a life-long member. Rev. H. H. Fickenscher was in charge of the services. The pall-bearers were Charles and August Harman, Frank Margroff, Bert Griffith, John Mimna and Melchor Kolb. The Cove community was shocked and saddened by the sudden death of Mr. Schlossnagle. He was born Aug. 5, 1875, and was aged 59 years, 1 month and 31 days. He was taken ill on Friday, Dec. 19, but was not thought to be in a serious condition until Tuesday afternoon when he was rushed to Cumberland by Dr. Ravenscroft. He remained in that condition only a few days. It was not thought by his family and friends that his condition was so serious. Milton Schlossnagle was married on May 1, 1918, to Mrs. Margaret McClintock who survives him. He was a son of the late George and Mary Schlossnagle. He spent his entire life in The Cove, and will be greatly missed from the community. His funeral was largely attended. Meyersdale Republican, January 1, 1931
