  SCHMID
  
    Carl Schmid, 83, Rockwood RD 3, died May 31, 1984, in the Veterans
  Hospital, Altoona.  Born Aug. 1, 1900, in Long Island, N.Y., son of
  Frank and Katrina Schmid.  Survived by his wife, Sarah (Lisk) Schmid,
  Rockwood RD 3; one son, Edward Price, Medford, Long Island, N.Y.; also
  by one daughter, Mrs. Alice Samler, Carlisle, Pa.; 11 grandchildren
  and five great-grandchildren.  Veteran of World Wars I and II,
  serving in the U.S. Navy with the rank of chief engineer.  Friends
  will be received in the William J. Wood Funeral Home Friday from 2-4
  and 6-9 p.m., where wake services will be held at 6:30 p.m.  Mass of
  Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in St.
  Peter's Catholic Church, Somerset, with the Rev. Samuel J. Tomaselli
  as celebrant.  Interment, Rockwood I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
