  SCHMIDT
  
    Anthony Schmidt, 90, Somerset, died Oct. 9, 1998, in Somerset
  Hospital.  Born June 27, 1908 in Rockwood, son of Anton and Katherina
  (Klein) Schmidt.  Preceded in death by parents; wife, the former
  Lucille Kuhs Kimmel, who died Jan. 12, 1992 and three brothers, John
  J., Edward V. and William Schmidt.  Survived by children: Richard A.
  Schmidt, married to the former Linda Latshaw of Somerset; Dale K.
  Schmidt, married to the former Andrea Lapp of Morgantown, W.Va.; six
  grandchildren, Richard Schmidt II and Robert Schmidt of Somerset;
  Ryan and Joel Schmidt of Wilmington, N.C.; Mrs. Renee Gant of
  Southern Pines, N.C.; and Darren Schmidt of Grand Forks, N.D.; and
  two great grandsons, Brady and Rylan Schmidt.  Brother of Mrs.
  Elizabeth Hauger and Mrs. Robert (Anna) Shaulis, both of Somerset,
  Mrs. Clair (Nellie) Martell of Sharon, Pa. and Mrs. Mary Sleasman of
  Rockwood.  Member of Mount Zion Lutheran Church, Somerset County
  Maple Producers Association, 55 and Over Speeders; 1928 graduate of
  Somerset High School; retired Jefferson Township dairy farmer. 
  Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, at Hauger-Zeigler
  Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 1 p.m., Monday,
  with the Rev. Edward S. Ebersole Jr. officiating.  Interment Somerset
  County Memorial Park.
