  Frederick R. Schmitt Jr., 58, Glades Pike Estates, Somerset, passed on March
  21, 2005, at home. Born May 28, 1946, in Palisades Park, N.J., he is the son of
  the late Elsie (Fursa) Schmitt and Frederick Schmitt Sr., Somerset. He is
  preceded in death by his mother and sister, Elizabeth Tussi. He is survived by
  his father; son, Fred, married to Maria, Wichita, Kan.; daughters, Stacy and
  Marie Schmitt, Lehigh Acres, Fla.; and grandchildren, Daniel, Justin and Ashlyn
  Schmitt. He was an engineering consultant who worked at New Lexington Fire
  Equipment Co., Rockwood and is a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam
  War. He was a member of the Vietnam Veteran's Association 587 and the Somerset
  VFW Post 181. Friends may call Friday from 12 p.m. until time of service, with
  full military honors, at 4 p.m. at the Miller Funeral Home, Somerset.
